ART IS A REFLECTION OF LIFE

Art has been a hobby of mine for many years.  I often drew or painted portraits of people or pets when family, friends or hospice patients died and I wanted to give them a remembrance.  It was my gift to honor the life of that person or animal and try to offer comfort.  When I decided to write my book, “The Dying Teach Us How to Live”, I used my paintings and drawings to compliment the stories.  I continue to create illustrations for my second and third book.   

My first book is an accumulation of stories I experienced with my work as a hospice social worker.  It was an honor and privilege to be allowed to participate in the lives of individuals and families who were entering the journey of the huge crisis of the end of their lives.  They are the courageous ones who inspired the art and the stories.  I am grateful that I met so many inspirational people who taught me about how to live each day.    My second book contains stories about God Winks and is currently unpublished. My third book is being written and illustrated about incredible light, near death experiences, out of body traveling, angels, encounters with deceased and with those individuals in crisis.
